The course is completely online. All you need is an internet connection.

Becoming a cyber security analyst takes time and effort. We’ve built a curriculum to teach you what you should know to land a job. The course is 20-weeks and we expect students to spend 15-20 hours per week on average.

There are modules in the course which focus on career components. In those modules, you’ll learn the latest job hunting strategies and work 1:1 with your career coach to create a successful job search strategy, build your network in tech, craft a cyber security analyst resume and LinkedIn profile, practice mock technical and behavioral interviews, debrief after actual job interviews, and negotiate your salary. We expect you to land a cybersecurity analyst job within six months of course graduation.

There are 2 sets of prerequisites for admission.

Mandatory

  • The right attitude and aptitude. Peak Cyber Institute looks requires 3 key personality traits; being committed, coachable and resourceful to become a cyber security analyst

  • 1 – 3 years IT or development experience
  • Basic understanding of networking and/or application concepts
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of common operating systems and familiarity with command line operation (Windows and Linux)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
